A bunch of kids dares the new boy in town to dress as a girl. Which he does surprisingly well.
I loved seeing a character play with gender roles, feeling more herself in girls' clothes than ever before.
It's not a story about a trans girl though, at least the character still identifies strongly as a boy. But it's a lot of questioning about gender and this I liked!

Minor: Homophobia and Transphobia
The book was written in the early 2000s and is about highschoolers, so you have the boys doing boy things and the girls doing girl things, it's quite a straight divide.
