Meet Me at the Lake is Carley Fortune’s second book and I loved it! I felt like I related to Fern quite a lot - especially in some of her teen attitudes (sorry mom 😳).
Will was also an interesting character, and I was so curious as to who he was. Carley did an excellent job developing their characters, their stories, and going back to when they met to the current day.
That said, this book also has a special place in my heart because of Fern living in the West End of Toronto and Huntsville in Muskoka - both very familiar stomping grounds to me ❤️
TW:This book does deal with grief l, neglect, and abandonment.
