Without You, There Is No Us: Undercover Among the Sons of North Korea's Elite by Suki Kim
5.0
I absolutely devoured this book. I couldn't stop talking about it.
Suki Kim went undercover as a missionary undercover as a teacher in order to investigate a university of elite North Korean men. Her tone is so matter-of-fact, just as bleak as her surroundings, and yet incredulous. I feel like everything was so impossible that she couldn't get too worked up about it, because that level of astonishment was unsustainable. When I turned the last page, I was so disappointed.
