Five Tuesdays in Winter by Lily King

5.0

this collection has made me officially want to read everything that Lily King has ever written. i found in these stories what i found in writers and lovers: a narrative that is literary and human at the same time. her ability to craft characters is stunning: they’re vivid and aching and real in a way that i have yet to find with another author.

i think my favorites were creature, five tuesdays in winter, when in the dorgogne (the first three stories in the collection), and the man at the door. just fantastic.
