OMG!!!! These Jersey Wolves and Bad Boys just get better and better each time! Once again, C.D. Gorri proves why she deserves a seat and belongs at the morally gray table of Dark Romance!
When the Jersey Bad Boys Trilogy wrapped, I was so afraid that this would be the end of the string of awesome Dark Romance novels from C.D. Gorri. I was resumed to continue to read the Wild Billionaire Series and Jersey Bad Boys Trilogy over and over again. My prayers were answered when C.D. Gorri introduced the Mergers & Acquisitions series! I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of DESPERATE MEASURES!
The scream I scrumpt when I found out that it would feature the next generation of morally grey men and the curvy women that would drag them, against their stubborn will, into falling in love and unapologetic consumption and obsession over them by their heartstrings!
First up in the series is bad boy, Irishman Liam O' Doyle and Michaela Volkov... yes! The daughter of Adrik & Sofia from the Book that started my descent into this series, HIS WILD OBSESSION! If you know anything about Adrik, its that the man doesn't play with his business... mess around with the women of his life? Insta-unaliving will occur! So, who else could look THAT man in the face as he claims the Little Wolf Princess? Well, Liam O'Doyle, of course! He first appeared in the last book of the Jersey Bad Boys Trilogy, PITIFUL LIES. These two form an unholy alliance in order for Liam to strengthen his foothold in the business world and Michaela to finally gain some independence from her overbearing family. Especially over dear old Dad, Adrik. What neither of them were prepared for was falling in love with each other!
Just when I thought the menfolk couldn't get any more consumed by their women, I am proven wrong every time. It seems like the men get more and more lustful and my goodness, are these women lucky! Just when I thought Adrik, Nico, and Luc where sexually unhinged... My goodness... Liam packed so much heat; I had to cool down with some ice water! This book was spicy! So, prepare for Liam and Michaela to power up your Kindle without the need to charge the battery!
The plot was excellent, the story was engaging and of course, I loved seeing all the characters from the previous books! Reading DESPERATE MEASURES was like a trip back home to the neighborhood to check in on old friends. This book was fantastic and now I have to sit on my hands to wait for the next book!
If you have not read any of the previous books, I suggest you go back and read them all, so you have a better appreciation for the story and all of the characters introduced in this book. C.D. Gorri, this book is fantastic! Thank you for continuing the series and giving me another morally gray character to add to my growing list of book boyfriends. This book is well done and I 10/10 highly recommend!
