The book was very loosely based in the classic Greek myths. Characters that did not encounter each other were present in the tale, and much of the story revolved around a trial. I’m not opposed to reimagining myths, but this seemed to focus on making sure certain talking points were hit instead of crafting a story. In the end, this failed to be the feminist “Me Too” triumph the author seemed to be setting up. Not enjoyable to read and an unsatisfying ending.
