So, the first 50% of the book was really really good. Or at least that’s how I felt at 12-2 AM last night as I started reading. I’m not sure if I’d feel the same now. But I’m crazy for any containment/compound romances so I was kicking my legs and giggling.

There was a whole bunch of shit that happened that was never explained… Like it was mentioned and then everyone forgot about it and moved on. To be fair, I don’t think Morgan herself knew about these things, but since we have a dual POV between Morgan and our antagonist Strong, we knew about it through him. I was curious and did want to know more about certain things mentioned but
maybe it was never elaborated on due to Strongs abuse of the serum and his delusion? I don’t know

It was rushed and just … idk I just didn’t really like it.

This book does handle lots of dark themes such as familial abuse, ableism, sex trafficking, rape, drug abuse, torture, psychological torture, manipulation, etc.. So its certainly super triggering. Especially with rape. There are many moderate description rape scenes, containing the main character and other characters.

Ashley; her abuse was hard to read and I’m not quite sure why it was so graphic. It just felt weird because Ashley was a big focus when Morgan finally met up with her again, but then Ashley literally disappeared when Alpha was brought in again and they had lots of sex …. The only other time we hear about Ashley again is in the epilogue when we find out she’s married to Gamma and is on her third kid. I didn't like that it didn't feel good to my soul.
