"I wanted to devour her. I wanted to possess her. I wanted to claim her as mine." ❤️

This book delivers exactly what you'd expect: sizzling chemistry, witty banter, and a hero you can't help but fall for. And fall I did, hard. From the moment Reese and Chase collide (quite literally), the sparks fly, creating a magnetic pull that keeps you glued to the pages. Reese, our fiercely independent heroine, is a breath of fresh air. She's ambitious, intelligent, and doesn't back down easily, even when faced with the formidable Chase Parker. Chase, the titular "Bossman," is the perfect blend of alpha and charming, with a hidden vulnerability that makes him even more appealing. Their dynamic is electric, fueled by a delicious push-and-pull that had me grinning and swooning in equal measure.

The writing is sharp and engaging, and the romantic tension is palpable. Vi Keeland masterfully builds the anticipation, creating a slow burn that culminates in some truly scorching scenes.  However, like many romance novels, "Bossman" falls prey to the dreaded third-act breakup. As you know if you've read any of my previous reviews, it's a trope that never fails to frustrate me. The miscommunication felt totally unnecessary, knocking it down a star. It’s a shame, because the rest of the book was so strong.  Despite this minor hiccup (for me), this book is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
