Ice by Anna Kavan
3.0
This book felt like a never ending nightmare of loneliness, alienation, and violence. The dreamy prose was easy to love but overall, I’m not sure I enjoyed the feeling that the same thing kept happening over and over again. I felt trapped and hopeless. The similarities between the narrator and the warden were very disconcerting. It is truly unique and I think I got to know a lot about Kavan and her struggles through this book.
