Foxe's Book of Martyrs by John Foxe

1.0

This is a collection of stories of people being martyred for their faith. The book is extremely biased, seems to show other religions in a bad light & isn't honest about the persecution Christians have done themselves (or Protestants to Catholics for that matter). At the same time, this book does not claim to be objective and could be a useful tool for some research on the matter. That's why I found it hard to give one star (in general that is a tough call since someone put a lot of work in). But it wasn't super informative, nor was it enlightening in any way. The best part was the beginning, where the disciples and their persecution was discussed, that was actually quite interesting.
