This was a book just as the title 'Sweet as Pie' but oh so much more. This book is about family, how they can be loving, having your back but also how they can be demanding without even realising it.

Luca Moretti is the owner of a chain of very succesfull family restaurants. He's the oldest of 7 siblings and is the one everybody depends upon and relies on when something goes wrong. When he is sent to Indigo Bay to save the deli of his aunt, he thinks it's again another day on the job. Far from it though because he bumps into Oliver. And you can take that literally because he actually bumps into him, twice even.

Oliver Billings owns the towns bakery, he's a sunny guy, friendly and loved by everyone in town. When meeting Gabe sparks immediately fly and they start dating casually, both knowing this has an expiration date. Along the way both men realise that what they feel isn't just casual, but a love deep enough worth fighting for.

*I kindly received a copy of this book from the author via Bookfunnel and this is my honest review.*
