You're Still the One by Rachel Harris

4.0

At first, I wasn't sure how much I'd like Ella. She's really naive and led a fairly sheltered life and I generally can't relate to characters like that. But, wow, was she refreshing. Ella's look on life (her bucket list) and just her innocence just makes you feel good. Charlie may be more experienced in life and love but he's a well grounded character who holds the core values in life dear which, swoon, makes you love him more. He may play the part of badboy of country but really, he's just a big softie. Their unlikely friendship blossoms with Ella's dad's threat over Charlie's head. Their chemistry and emotions can't be suppressed despite their relationship having been built on shaky grounds. Charlie unexpectedly finds a partner he respects and can't seem to get out of his head while Ella fights a good internal battle over if that old crush of hers can turn into that fairy-tale ending she's always dreamed of.

I know, I know, she's not even described to look anything like her but I couldn't get T Swift out of my head while I was reading this! Match that with Charlie's good looks and purposeful life and swoon--loved the characters. The story was a sweet one, very heartwarming and easy to get through.
