The Couples Trip by Ulf Kvensler

3.0

Another thriller down for the count. This is the first thriller that started with a map through the Sarek park, where the couples are vacationing through, and overall timeline of the events that will be taking place, so you start off knowing that there are two very serious, possibly fatal accidents.

For the majority of the book, we are following an unreliable narrator, and it's hard not to be on her side until the end where we receive another point of view, and in my opinion, a second unreliable narrator. The ending was overall lackluster, though points you more towards one over the other's story, but not fully believing either. It is a classic he said she said scenario.

This didn't grip me so much into wanting to seek out more of Kvensler's reads, but not a bad find at the library to add to the list.

"Sarek seemed keen to protect its secrets." (pg138)
"What an inhospitable place this is." (pg232)
