While this book didn’t go into excruciating detail on each of the diseases it covered, this was a fabulous introduction and summary of many deadly disease throughout history. The focus was not only on the disease itself, but also the ones who cared - either by helping prevent future instances of illness, putting policies in place, or simply treating the inflicted as the humans they are and offering sympathy and support. The world is a better place when we just care for each other.
