The Name Drop is a duo POV that follows Elijah and Jessica who accidentally swap places on their way to their summer internship program because they have the same Korean name. When they discover this, they decide to stay switched in order to experience different lifestyles. Of course, as they learn more about the other, sparks fly.
I really enjoyed this book! I think there were some really important discussions around family and the Korean culture putting male heirs above females. As well as the disccuion around “having your life figured out by 18”. Even while all this is happening. There’s still an entertaining and enjoyable romance to consume. My only “gripe” is the that Elijah fell very hard very fast and seemed out of character.
The ending, although dramatic, was removed too quickly and not in an enjoyable way. I definitely wanted more angst to happen at the end.
Thank you Harper Collins for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
