Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
4.0
I'm not going to give this a proper review because we all know the 'Harry Potter' series is incredible, the first and third book just so happen to be my favourites, so instead I'm going to use my review space to put down things I forgot about since my last reading, when I was a child, and any questions I have.
I forgot that:
* the Dursleys were blonde (i wasn't expecting ginger or dark hair but blonde didn't seem right)
* Hagrid kisses McGonagall on the cheek at Christmas (well done, my giant man)
* that in the film they didn't really get rid of the dragon, so what happened to it?
* that Hagrid got drunk and told Quirrell the truth about Fluffy (i wasn't expecting that)
* that Ron didn't get into trouble and doesn't go with Harry and Hermione to the Forbidden Forest
* how many times Harry is out of bed (when does this kid sleep?)
* that Snape actively tried to save Harry in this one
* that Harry Potter is a sass master troll (i live for it)
Questions:
1) Why did Hagrid not go to the Astronomy Tower himself to deliver the dragon to Charlie's friends instead of risking Harry and Hermione?
2) Why didn't Hagrid tell the truth about the dragon when Harry and Hermione got into trouble?
3) When did Hagrid find out about Harry's invisible cloak or did Harry put it on when they left Hagrid with the dragon? Also, if that's the case how did Hagrid think Harry and Hermione were going to get Norbert up to that Tower without getting caught?
4) If Astronomy is at midnight and their detention is at half eleven (p.m.), when do these eleven-year-old kids sleep? Eight hours or less is not good for them, neither is getting up in the middle of the night for two hours.
5) James Potter saved Snape's life? w h e n ?
