this is such a fantastic academic-rivals-to-lovers book, and a perfect example of why i love this trope so much. the chemistry and the banter between sadie and julius was incredible. i also appreciated sadie’s character growth throughout this, she’s definitely one of my favourite ann liang protagonists.

ann liang is becoming an auto-buy author because everything i’ve read from her has been really great (i am on a book-buying ban at the moment, so i’ll probably read a song to drown rivers before i get to her 2025 releases.)
