The day after tomorrow meets worldwide communications failure.

A touching tale of family and friends stuck in a disaster zone. Plausible in it's plot, scarily real and so well written that you can feel what the characters are putting up with, the tensions between them and the love they have for each other. I'm not usually a post apocalypse / prepper fan however, this was very good indeed.
