Veiled by Khiara Laurea
4.0
Veiled is the second novella (1.2) in Tellurian Dreams series where we follow Alex (Alexander Vaughn Kloss) and Kamilla Yang years after the events of book 1.
First thing that I like is how this second novella is more of a continuation of Entwined (1.1) but with a different focus. I like the author’s decision to have each character their own book where readers can see more of the MC’s energy and vulnerabilities.
In this book, Khiara Laurea did not shy away in giving Alex and Kamilla their much needed reconnection and what happened with them in the end is for you to find out.
I also enjoy how the usual lucid dreaming in book 1 shifted realities in this book as portrayed with how Kamilla and Alex experience events in Ascacia. This opens a lot of possibility to the next books in the series.
And as mentioned in my QOTD, quantum jumping is explored in this book and technically, it can be applied in both scienctific and spiritual context. For me, I want to take advantage of the experience by manifesting my dreams.
As someone who has been working for five years, I realized that our dreams are never-ending. Be it material things, spiritual peace, or emotional stability, our quest for desires is continuous - much like Alex and how he braved all odds to achieve the one thing that he wants in Tellurian realm.
Overall, I enjoyed Veiled more than I expected.
Here is my overall ranking of the Tellurian series so far:
Tellurian Dreams, 1 - 4.5
Veiled, 1.2 - 4
Entwined, 1.1 - 3
