horror is so personal, so i understand how this might not have been for everyone (though i am side-eyeing all the negative reviews a little), but this is such a me book. it’s now joining the poppy war and these violent delights (by micah nemerever ofc) as my top 3 reads of the year and is fast becoming one of my all-time favourites.
dr. tamsin rivers <333, the woman you are… from the moment she appeared on the page, i simply could not look away. even though she might be described as “unlikeable” (i adored her; people just love to hate on morally gray women smh) and she makes some questionable decisions (as one does), i was completely there with her every step of the way.
i’m so glad to have stumbled upon this book (i was totally enticed by the beautiful evernight special edition), and i will now read anything caitlin starling writes.
also, how did no one tell me this book had such a beautiful sapphic love story?
