I really enjoyed this book and enjoyed these characters.

Paedyn is powerful and impressive to me. She is so good at taking care of herself and getting shit done. She successfully evades Kai for the first 1/3 of the book. She is realistic and fun to read. By the end of book 2 we see her feeling remorse,, guilt, and PTSD which is so realistic and yet doesn’t take away from how strong we know her to be.

Kai is as charming as he always is. He spends the first 1/3 of the book looking and being outsmarted by Paedyn, and then yearning and pretending the second 2/3. We see growth from him and we see his feelings for Paedyn grow through the chapters.

Kitt is just there.

I think this book and the plot was a good second book following the other book. It was exciting and interesting enough that it added to the story and wasn’t boring or drawn out. I can’t wait to read book #3!
