A very solid collection of stories! Usually I find collections to have a standout and then a bunch of forgettable ones, but this felt very strong consistently. I thought the last story, “Enjoy Your Life, Capo” was incredibly well done, I also enjoyed “The Body” and the titular story. The writing style was mostly just okay for me, fairly bland and straight to the point, but on the whole I think that worked for the often stark, emotional, complex stories being told. If you’re looking for a good, quick, and reflective collection of short stories, this is a great one to pick up!
