What It’s About: This is a YA thriller where the main character is asked to participate in a scavenger hunt in order to find the bodies of her missing friends. Morbid! I like it.

Plot: I think I thought that this would be rather rudimentary since it’s a YA thriller, so I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of twists and turns there were, and how many of them I didn’t guess. It was also an interesting take on the idea of popularity and success, especially among teenagers.

Style: Stylistically, this book is pretty straightforward, but that’s not a bad thing. It focuses on the mystery, and that’s the part we’re all there for. The simplicity might be down to the audience, but it doesn’t distract from what the novel is about at all.

Trigger Warnings: Bullying, death of teenagers, kidnapping, murder. Nothing terribly shocking, considering.
