We Could Be So Good by Cat Sebastian

5.0

Re-read Jan. 2024: I was missing Nick and Andy the other week and thought re-reading their bonus epilogue would be enough. Then I had a really awful day and my first instinct was to reach for this book. If you’re in the mood to grin like an idiot for approximately 384 pages, get your heart ripped out of your chest (in a good way), and maybe cry a bit over things like soup, then you should pick this up.
If I thought I highlighted half the book the first time…at this point it feels like more of it is highlighted than not. Cat Sebastian just knows how to make what should be completely inconsequential lines feel like the most heart-wrenching gut punches.
Found family and queer love and domesticity as defiant, revolutionary acts. It’s just so perfect.

What a beautiful love story. Soft, slow, and sweet but difficult to put down. I particularly loved the focus on queer resilience, found family, and finding the home you never imagined you could have.

And here I was thinking I didn’t like friends to lovers
