Gorgeous. I think I get the Sally Rooney love now. This was a beautiful and raw take on grief—and love and sibling relationships and life in general—but some of the sentiments around grief in particular really spoke to me. The sibling dynamics are done so well here and I especially connected with Peter (hashtag oldest child) and found his storyline very riveting and sad, although it was more fragmented. Ultimately this was one of those books where nothing really happens but we get a peek into something very human. Say what you want about lit fic but that is why I love it so much. Will definitely be giving Rooney’s other books another try soon!
