Jane, the Fox & Me by Fanny Britt

5.0

In all honesty, this is probably more like 4 stars, but the relate-ability of this, especially to the silent but snarky thoughts, and tying it all together with a favorite novel (Jane Eyre) and a favorite animal (the fox), just made it CONNECT. Although I was actually quite fortunate to never have really gone through bullying like Helene did, I was still always the weird outcast who blended in and out of different groups, never really truly associating with anyone. The fact that outcasts like this also keep their true thoughts and emotions bottled up even from the most caring parents is also SO TRUE.

My only complaint is that the fox played a very tiny part in the overall story.
