The Housemaid's Secret by Freida McFadden
5.0
Millie has found a new job working for the Garrick’s. On her initial meeting with Mr. Garrick, he tells her to stay away from the guest bedroom where his wife is staying. She’s ill and not up to socialization. Since Mr. Garrick hasn’t pried into her past, she is willing to look the other way. That is until one day Millie just can’t resist knocking on the door. As the door opens, Millie is in shock and what she sees inside changes everything.
Millie must take care of things. It will be fine, after all, she’s done it before. She can and will protect Mrs. Garrick…but just how far is she willing to go?
AH! Another amazing thriller from the amazing @fmcfaddenauthor. This one was just so good I did not want to put it down. I started with Ward D, then went to The Housemaid, and then The Housemaid’s Secret. I have The Inmate next to read. I was so cool that Freida is a practicing physician. I had a hunch she was in the medical field when I read Ward D, but now I know! How cool is that. It just adds that little extra to her books.
Now The Housemaid’s Secret was a lot of fun. I loved reading more about Millie and what she was getting up to in this novel. Oh, the twist! Be still my heart it was so good. I have come to expect nothing less from this author. I cannot wait to read more from her backlog, and I am so excited that her books are available on Kindle Unlimited. Honestly for me it’s worth the entire subscription price!
If you are looking for a twisty psychological thriller that is part of a duology, then I highly recommend The Housemaid and The Housemaid’s secret.
