Finding Christmas by Karen Schaler
5.0
I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH I HAVE TO SCREAM ABOUT IT.
Okay, let's start with the fact that Emmie, our female protagonist, is literally nicknamed "Miss Christmas." So basically, Emmie is me. I couldn't possibly relate to her love for the holiday any more. She adores it because of her parents (just like me) and she just wants everyone else to enjoy it too. YES GIRL, YES.
Now, I gotta talk about Sam. *Swoon* He's a soft boy and I'm here for it. He loves Christmas just as much as Emmie and he's not afraid to show it. He's also an author. *Double swoon*
Umm Christmas Point? Can this place be real? I want to go. It sounds beyond magical. All the Christmas things all the time? And the snow? Yes, please.
Combine those three elements, add in a stupid boyfriend who just needs to be out of the picture, a rush for a book deadline, and getting snowed in at the cutest, most festive place on earth with the sweetest innkeeper of all time and her dog, Dasher - and you've got this book. I could read it a million times over (and I just might).
The nods to the movies Karen was the screenwriter for also made me smile. Now I want THIS book to be turned into a movie, please and thanks. I can't recommend it enough!
