Heartstopper Volume 5 by Alice Oseman

🌶️🌶️.5 (yes, without description)
This volume didn’t have that much of a plot. It’s kind of a set up for volume 6. But the representation in this book is unmatched. I’m absolutely never okay after reading these volumes. The way Charlie explains his view and thought process about his body resonates too well with my brain. I always end up crying because I feel so seen in these characters. I also loved the conversations between Charlie and Tori, as well as between Charlie and his mother.
This book was kind of a filler but it still managed to touch on so many different and important topics. Future school plans and taking the next step in a relationship. But also kind of ”healing” conversations within a family.
- existing romance
- mental health
- relationship to the next level
- future plans
