Ask a Manager isn't groundbreaking, but it does a great job of putting things into perspective. I used to read the blog all the time partly for the advice, but mostly it was just morbid curiosity. I even submitted a question once and received a very nice email back in response. I think the book is a nice little snapshot of workable office advice. If you have a problem and are looking for a good place to start, this may be a good place to look, but the advice is so short form that it doesn't have the depth to really be more than a quick reference.
