Hello Me, It's You is a collection of letters from young adults to their 16-year old selves.
The writers struggle with mental health issues, growing up and being themselves and they give advice to their younger selves about the years to come, but they mostly talk to them about finding help, them not being alone and to have faith. Writing this, apparently they are able to get through it all.

This book is exactly what it sounds like and I loved it. There are a lot of things my 16-year old self would have had benefited from hearing, even if I wouldn't have wanted to listen to all the well-meant advice at the time.

I think the power of the book is that it's a collection of many different letters, which means that 'everyone' can find something for them in there. A lot of different lives are described; some mental health problems seem to overlap, but others are very different and that way, the power of the book is in recognizing yourself in the different passages.

Hello Me, It's You is a book full of time-traveling advice and I really recommend it for anyone interested in or struggled with mental health. Since the advice is targeted at the 16-year-olds, I think that is the best target audience, but a few years younger or older wouldn't hurt, of course. I think we can all benefit from educating ourselves about mental illnesses, so we know how to cope with stuff ourselves as well as treat each other better.
