This book is magnificent. Mukherjee is one of the best writers - of any genre - I've ever encountered. His prose is gorgeous. His storytelling abilities are sublime. His ability to make science exciting for the non-scientist is pure perfection. This is without a doubt one of my favorite books of all time.
