I absolutely adored this charming and slightly insane adventure turned romance between childhood friends. It reminded me of a lot of Alexis Hall, with the same variety of found family, shenanigans with delightfully unhinged mapcap energy, but with a little more bite to the characters and their backstories. The vibes are really well balanced between contemporary language and vibes without really tipping into anachronism. I genuinely loved this this and found it very moving.
