If I loved the first book, then this one was even better! I was scared going into this book because if you know me, you also know that I don't like the pregnancy trope (if you read the synopsis, you know what I'm talking about). I was pleasantly surprised there was little baby talk, and the overall storyline was still enjoyable.
All the characters were incredible, but hands down, Iris was my favorite. She kept Decklan in check and often reminded him of what reality actually is. The banter was on a point between these two. And Declan? He was brilliant. Grumpy and an asshole? Yes, but in the best way possible. Also, who gave Callahan the right to be this awesome? He is caring and protective. He is the kind of friend everybody deserves. And why did I think he was gay until this Alana girl was mentioned? Am I the only one? Anyways, can't wait for his novel to be out!
Now, let me tell you about the romance. Because, oh my God! The slow-burn yearning while being married out of convenience? It's top-tier! Plus, you get rewarded with the best spice for the long wait. It's like that cherry on top. Disclaimer, this isn't smut! It's a well-thought-out book with a glorious plot. And there is a spice in it.
I couldn't give Terms and Conditions anything less than 5 stars. I have no idea what I was doing not reading Lauren Asher. Her writing is outstanding. I can't wait for the Final Offer. And y'all should read Dreamland Billionaires.
