I am so disappointed that I didn’t enjoy this. Honestly I love books that lean more towards musings than plot, but was also a book with beautiful prose that almost purposefully avoids any mention of politics or history that could show a stance or opinion. I learnt nothing of the characters, and really nothing of the earth which is the true main character of this book. I wanted to love this, just fell really flat for me and I’m sad this is my first book of 2025.
