American Gods feels like a journey into the heart of the American cultural fabric. Narratives of Irish sun gods, slaves and immigrants are interwoven into small town pitstops and dinners at funeral homes. It's medium paced and offers a variety of narratives to stimulate multiple avenues. Good story about meaning, symbols and finding yourself. Mythology and mystery along the way keeps it interesting.
