Full Moon Over Freedom by Angelina M. Lopez

5.0

Do NOT ask me to choose between book 1 (After Hours on Milagro Street) and this one. I simply can't do it. They're different but connected and both SO GOOD.

What I wasn't expecting: to love Gillian so much. I didn't connect with her the way I did with Alex, but I understood her. I also wasn't expecting her to be a brujeria (bruja/witch) - they ramped up the paranormal elements of this book and I'm INTO it??

I adored Nicky. The bad boy who was never really bad but just a little lost. Who made something truly great from himself. Who loved the girl, was hurt by her, and can't seem to stay away.

Their history - their childhood friendship, the sex lessons as adults - was just too good. I'm a SUCKER for childhood friends > adult lovers.
