Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix
4.0
My first Grady Hendrix is a 3.5 star for me, so rounded up to 4. It was hilarious horror set in a store modeled after IKEA, but a little lower grade.
Store manager Basil asks employees Amy and Ruth Anne to assist him in discovering who is damaging store property after hours. What follows is a dark and creepy night. It was far-fetched and sometimes slow, but the design of the book modeled after the actual IKEA catalog, and the chapter opening photos and descriptions of products, makes it such fun! I laughed out loud more than once and I would recommend it. It’s not so creepy you can’t sleep after, but there are some pretty graphic descriptions at times.
