What a beautiful story. It is more series of short stories connected by the common thread of the house Ashenden. I really liked the way this was written. It had a wonderful feel to it and reminded me very much of Downton Abbey.

I loved the progression of the story through time. It was great to see how times and views changed as well. From 1775 to 2010 the house and people go through ups and downs.

A truly enjoyable story through the decades!
