Until August by Gabriel García Márquez

3.0

Painful to give a lukewarm review to a novel written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, but perhaps this is to be expected from a novel published posthumously, one in which the author himself asked to never see the light of day. The writing and essence of the novel shows the inklings of glory. Unfortunately the storytelling lasts the gusto, emotion, and motifs that I typically expect from Garcia Marquez. As such the conclusion left me searching for more. Certainly the novel should be experienced by any fan of the author, but certainly lower your expectations.
