I loved this book! The writing was excellent, the suspense was addictive, and the spice was out of this world hot. This was a very dark book, with a lot of violence, but it was balanced super well with the relationship development between Ranen and North. I loved those two together so much! As the book went on, Ranen developed deeper and deeper feelings for North, and while he understood that it didn't seem healthy, he wasn't willing to give up the safety and warmth he felt with him. North, on the other hand, was obsessed with Ranen before they even met, but he began to realize as the book went on that his obsession was growing into more. He didn't know he could feel so much for one person, and he was solidly committed to keeping Ranen his no matter what. Poor Ranen really went through it in this book, because as hard as North tried to keep him safe, somehow the danger just slipped through the cracks anyway. Even though Ranen got hurt A LOT in this book, North was always there to save him and make sure the person who hurt him disappeared. I devoured this book, and I'm pretty sure I'll be thinking about for a long time 😍 It was absolute perfection!
