I took my time listening to this one on my hour commute to and from work, and I am SO glad I did. I had started this audiobook ages ago, before I really got into audiobooks, and ended up DNF'ing, but I decided to re-check it out for my first week. I have never enjoyed an audiobook so much, full stop. I'm queuing up A Closed and Common Orbit for tomorrow's drive, and I already can't wait. The characters, guys, THE CHARACTERS. I don't get emotionally invested in sci-fi, well, ever, but I was so here for the relationships in this. The plot was just an added bonus, honestly. Highly, highly recommend if you like character-driven novels and social commentary. Don't let the space part dissuade you.
