Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut
5.0
5/5 Stars (%89/100)
The year is 2081 and because of the 211th 212th and 213th Amendments of the Constitution, everyone is equal. A person named Handicapper General controls the people. If someone is very beautiful, they have to wear a mask. If they are very smart, they have to use some kind of a machine that prevents them from thinking. Harrison Bergeron is a 14-year-old boy who is perfect in every way possible so he has to wear A LOT of machinery. He escapes from prison and things get complicated.
A brilliant short story with a very interesting plot and characters. Easy to read but there are many things to discuss.
