Something Wilder by Christina Lauren

DNF.
I aborted this book a bit after the mid-way point. The writing was fine and the plot as such interesting enough, but about 1/3 into the story something dark happens, which in any other scenario should have prompted a call to the police and a crminal investigation. The fact that the characters think about that option and then decide to just ignore what would have been the right thing to do, because they want to go on a treasure hunt, baffled me. I tried to put it down to creative licence and to it just being a fictional story, but it felt wrong. I read a bit further, because I thought I could ignore my discomfort with this, but after a while though: Nope, why should I? So I don't know if they'll find the treasure and/or if anyone gets their Happily Ever After.
