Oakley moves to Bell Buckle to escape her life in the city. In Bell Buckle, she takes a job at the feed store, but her boss happens to be the guy whom she accidentally hit with her car. While working together their chemistry keeps rising. Lennon knows he should stay away from her as she is 8 years younger than him and is his employee but he just can't. But Oakley and Lennon just can't seem to stay away from each other.
I seriously loved this book! The issues that I had with the third-act conflict in the first book were gone and the book was able to keep my attention the entire time!
Oak and Lennon had really good chemistry together and their personalities worked so well together. Oak has a lot of issues with asking for help and Lennon's love language is acts of service without having to ask which is just PERFECT.
Everything did go by really quickly. I would not have minded the book being a bit longer so we could spend more time seeing Oak and Lennon grow closer and so that the suspense of the third-act conflict could build up a bit more.
Other than that I loved it. If you're looking for your next small town cowboy romance, consider picking up the Bell Buckle series!!
