From Here to the Great Unknown by Lisa Marie Presley

It's always weird to rate a memoir. I'm still going to try to follow my own rules for ratings, that are based on literary merit as well as enjoyment/if I gained anything for my time spent reading.
Well, I mean. It was odd. It was like listening to this random stranger's tedious stories of how their christmas dinner and family holiday went. I found it hard to care. It was pure teeth grinding boredom. I nearly dnf'd.
But. I'm glad I stuck with it because there were some real gems on the human condition, grief, addiction, dealing with all that. On not being able to deal with all that... And it's important these hardships are shared so people with similar issues can feel seen and understood. It's not a simple task to lay it all out in the open. So I do appreciate all that.
