Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
5.0
When picking up this book I didn't know what to expect because of all the hype it was getting in the book community but....
THIS BOOK IS SO AMAZING AND GREAT AND WOW I LOVED IT!!!!!
Okay, let's begin.
The synopsis mentions a runaway billionaire, and although it is apart of the book. I wouldn't say it's so focused on that too much. It is focused mostly on Aza and her illness. This book portrayed that so wonderfully and accurately. At some points in the book I was getting anxious with her!
The love story was phenomenal. I loved it. It was very much realistic from the perspective of an "ill" person, and didn't sugarcoat it and just go with it. It was real. She was real. Their thoughts, their emotions it was all just so real.
The journey of best friends. This could not have been more accurate. From their fights to them making up, from every day together and their bond. I loved this friendship, truly. Originally I thought it was a toxic friendship but it is not. It really is two characters whom love each other dearly and really are best friends at the end of it all.
This story line could not have been plotted out better. I picked up this book every chance I got and did not want to put it down but at times I really needed to. This story is so consuming you almost feel like you're there.
I got so attached to main character that I really started to care and love her. I wanted her to feel understood. I wanted her to feel comfort. I wanted to jump into the story at times to he with her.
This book was great and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND this to EVERYONE
Overall. 5/5 Stars. Very very good read.
