This was a really fun combination of two genres I love: scifi and mystery. Mallory was the quintessential murder mystery female lead, but I loved that by the second half of the book she was almost rarely our narrative voice. The author weaves a pretty complex mystery. I’m not sure every piece of it really held together for me by the conclusion, but it made enough sense, and I hadn’t guessed it so for a murder mystery novel that’s a great read.
