The Color of Water: A Black Man's Tribute to His White Mother by James McBride

2.0

I expected this book to tell a different story. Maybe mention that his mother worked several jobs and encouraged them to work hard in school and succeed... but I don't see how she pushed them to work hard. To sum it up his mother wasn't as encouraging as the summary led me to believe. The book sort of sucked.
