Parts of this book were 5 stars for me. I loved the premise. I loved the MC and her moms. I loved the lore and the use on mythology in an atypical way. Seriously so much to love. 

There were a few things that really bothered me though. A less important thing but no less distracting: the over use of dialogue tags. This is a pet peeve of mine. A more important thing: age gap romance with a 17yo. This I hate. When I was younger I let it go. As I age, I find it more and more disturbing. It’s a reason vampire stories aren’t my go to. Like they can work. One of my favorite books of all time has it. But when we are talking 300+ with someone under 25?!? I just can’t get excited for it. 

In general though, I loved the overall story and will likely read the next. I’m just not sure how fast I’ll prioritize it. But I really do want to know how things work out.
